We'll be down around Mustang Island @ their state park around September and be in our travel trailer on the beach. Has anybody surf fished Mustang Island around the state park? We always go to galveston and have never made it that far south. Any input on the state park and/or fishing is much appreciated!!! Thanks and God bless, Dustin

There are a couple of jetties right there at the state park, the fish pass jetties. I have caught fish there when the water conditions are right and there is bait plentiful. That stretch of beach north of there has been good for meint the past.

My father-in-law RV's on Mustang Island State Park every Sept after the crowds have left too. He always catches some good red's off the jetties there. Last year he also got into some flounder as well. Man, they were good eating. He just uses cut mullet off the jetties. Always does pretty good.
Hope this helps.
