I had a friend ask me about a spinning rod as a gift. He wants to spend around $50. Well, I was in Academy and the Castaway looked like the best rod in that price range - any thoughts?

Thanks for the help.

Great rods. I buy them in the fall at Academy for around $ 20.00 when they clearance them.

Ive used Castaways for over 10 years, they are definitely a great rod for just $50.
