I am not sure. I intend to bring a rod (You know how it is with a favorite) down and a small amount of tackle and my chest waders. I will need to get a license when I get there. If we could stop at a bait shop I could get whatever tackle, license and bait. I think I am good. I am looking forward to it. I live in the country in Minnesota and the lakes are starting to lose their ice. I want to get out and get after some crappies and bluegills soon. The water in the bays is too cold but should be warm enogh in about a week. I pass several nice rivers and lakes on my way home from work (i drive 40 miles one way)and stop from time to time. It sure is a nice way to wind up a work day. Last year I caught some of my nicest fish on my way home (walleyes and catfish).

Can't wait to try the saltwater again.

Hey I guess that makes up for having snow for so long. Nice to be able to stop and fish on the way home......about the trip. Would recommend you bring a spinning rod, 7 footer if possible. 8 or 10# test. If you got Flurocarbon in 20 tie it to the line, recommend a blood knot. If no on the fluro I got some and you can use that......I got the bait bucket, hooks, floats, swivels, plastics, etc if needed. You plan on keeping any fish?.....Check out Scotties report on Fish Pass from Sunday, he done good, first time there. I'd start asking him the questions, think he's been holding back on the fishing knowledge, probably going to show all us up, exception being Lady_Red if she shows up. ......Will post more later about what's needed, also for any other fishing you do in the S.A. area. Talk to you laer.

If Fish Pass (the real one) is where we are thinking about going. Great!!!! Last Sunday the water was very clear. It was easy to see the grass areas and cuts. That was after we finally saw it and the fog had lifted.

Minnesota, if you are staying at the Westin on Market St. You are only 2 1/2 block away from the restaurant where I work, Casa Rio. TOO, we (meaning everyone who is thinking about going) could meet in the Casa Rio Parking Lot after picking up Minnesota. Others who will not be taking 37 down could meet at the designated "Fishing Spot".

I'm already to get down there and have another great day fishing.
