I am thinking about making a trip up this month. I haven't heard Nichols37 or Randy Wood post any reports since the beginning of March.

I live 5.5 hours away and fish on the South end but would like to know how the fishing has been before I haul my boat up there.

Helloooo Russ
Here is my report posted this week
http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbt...kin#Post6003717

Fishing is great at PK right now. The South end were you are at has been good for Black bass fishing. I can't comment personally but that is the reports I have been getting.

As for the river end the sand bass fishing is great. Bring the boat and have fun. If you need more PM me and Ill give ya my cell phone. My contact information is also at the link in my signature. Randy

I would love to Randy. . . .But I'm going hog hunting next weekend. My lights are on. A friend of mine went by the house yesterday and made sure they are plugged in. He's going back tonight to fish them. I'll give you an update. I'll be up there Easter weekend. I might have to get the updated report from you then!

I trade you a guide trip for a hog hunt. My brother and two of my kids would love to go on another hunt for some pigs.

Randy,

I could definitely work that out. When you want to go hog hunting? The fleas and ticks are a pain right now but they haven't been shot at in a while and they are coming to the feeders. www.fourseasonsranch.net is where I hunt. Lets work something out for later this spring/summer.

PK Russ,I have been in grand cayman for the last seven days!!!But before I left we were catching fish everywhere we went.Mostly we bass fish, but some of our normal bass spots we went to had nice sandbass chasing bait.I usually have a spinning reel rigged with a little storm wild eye and when I would throw that I'd get my limit in about 45 min. There has also been sandies caught around the state park in the last three weeks. The people that were catching them around the park were trolling cranks and traps.Good luck fishing and let us know how you do!!!

My arm is getting better because I have been throwing the baseball with my son. I pitched in when I was young.

I have a great trap if you can find a place out of park and close by. My trap will catch several at a time.

Or we could get a ladder off the alarm truck, get you in a tree and you could just throw your cast net. noidea of course we would need to add more weight. nuts

I have caught lots of things in my nets that I never entended to catch. Only one snake and he was a whopper. eeks

I have caught hogs ...fought hogs.....and been chased by hogs.......Catching hogs with a cast net may be the new thing in exciting hunts.....

So what happens after you get them in the net???

offtopic Man things can wrong fast
