I found a cowling for my '85 150 XR6 on ebay. I also found a few salvage yards by Googleing them. BTW, how do you "lose" your cowling? I broke mine, but I can't imagine how you lose one unless you were in a hurricane or something. Just curious.
Like me for what I am, or don't like me at all.

When engines are blown and it costs more to fix them then they are worth some people will scrap them out for parts.

Let me tell how I lost mine... My last boat I smoked a stump and it hit the self eject button and swam down 35'. Makes for a heck of a deep water summer hump.

Them things are 'spensive!!! You priced them lately?
My Tracker Targa bow trim switch got wet and drove the motor up into the rear ped seat one night. It kept running and running until the battery went completely dead. Busted the cowling. It was covered under warranty the first time. They replaced the switch and as soon as the boat went out of warranty it did it again only it just cracked the cowling this time but still drained the battery again. I disconnected the bow trim switch.

When we were converting my Cleburne store to RV's only, we sent a few cowlings up to the Hurst Fun-n-Sun last week. Call Travis or Monte and they may have what you need in a used one. If so, I will make you a deal. It sucks when you lose something overboard. For me, it was a $450 rod and reel last week! Jeff
oh, and about 12 years ago- one of the first 109lb thrust Motorguide's at about 75mph.
