Reds and Flounder are starting to show up with the trout.

These tasty filets were caught on a Black/GoldEye 1/8 oz. Rockport Rattler jig with the SW Bass Assassin's BRAND NEW soft plastic called the:

5" DIE DAPPER

Hey Trout Scout, thanks fot the report. Man you have gotton me excited. Would you happen to know the water temps. for all I know is that the water needs to be within 68-72 degrees for the flounder to start moving.

How big was that flatty you got. Thats a nice one there bud!

TxHook'Em - it's warm enough for the spring Flounder run.

That 1/8 Black/Gold Eye RR is a bunch of anglers "go to" for flounder, not just mine.

Buddy of mine hooked into a good one:

Thats good enough for me then. I normally fish at Rollover Pass to fish and wade on the bay side of the pass. We plan on going there next week but if we can't make it, then the following week.

I use a couple of techniques for myself for them flounders. I use the red and while tail curly tails and tip them off with shrimp. If that dont work then I will use live finger mullet or mud minnows. I love catching them flounders, they sure are fun especially the bigger female one's. they sometimes feel like a large spec or red. Best part, they are great to eat!

I made a post on the Rollover PAss Post but I haven't heard anyone respond yet. Looks like there's hardly anyone fishing or fishing there yet.

That friend of yours definitley caught a nice one. I bet it pulled down and bent that pole of his really good. I have seen them RR, I have heard good things about them too. Last time I had some they were in my tackle back; however, my takle box got stolen frown. That was the last time I have ever used them.

Keep us posted if you catch anymore. We sure would like to know and see more pics!!!

Gulf of Mexico SaltH20 temps are 64*.

Some flats with shallow SaltH20 and afternoon sun on them are in the 68*+ range.
