What did you think of the comments between Kevin Van Dam & Aaron Marten during the last day of the Classic?

Apparently Martens kept crowding closer to Van Dam's water and Van Dam said something like "I must be a magnet to you as everywhere I go you keep getting closer".

In reply Martens said "like really Dude" several times.

I thought it was going to escalate to more but it didn't or at least the cameras changed scenes.

Didn't Martens and Velvick have words on Falcon a couple years ago about Martens crowding him?

Martens may be a good fisherman (four 2nd place finishes in the Classic) but ... he is a whiner!!!! and he is irritating, at least to me he is and I don't think he has much class!

It might have gotten a little more intense if KVD wasn't kicking that A so bad. It would be hard to get too upset when having a dream day and tournament like he was having.

who was there first.. on day 1, wasnt martens in the area first and van dam came up to him? i wasnt there, but that's how it appeared. van dam was playing with his head.

KVD is intimidating plane and simple

Rook, Martins, Vandam, Remitz, Brandon P were all within yards of one another in the three days. There are plenty if pictures to prove that. ESPN likes drama, and keeps the camera within distance of the guys who aren't scared to talk. I think A-Mart says some of that stuff to get TV time, kinda like IKE does.

KVD even gave them the lure he was using and told them how to use it and still kicked their a$$. He is just awesome. He even told Mark Zona before the Classic where he was going to fish.

What I thought was odd was at weigh in Martens was talkiing about how good of friends he and VanDam were...and they panned the camera on KVD's wife and she was shaking her head. I was like "wth?"

KVD caught a 10 in that spot prefishing. Don't think he ever planned to go to Venice with that kind of practice. I don't know who was first to the spot but I know who was first in the tourney. AMart seemed a bit AHoley to me.

Martens is always whining.......although i am not a big fan, it is tough to watch the "wheels coming off" everytime he is in the runnings to win a tourney. That bout with Velvrick was classic.....telling him that a five pounder wouldnt do him any good and it could win the toruney for him......great case for leaving him that spot to fish.

Martines can't hold it together plain and simple. He lets everything get to his head. For example on day 2 he was watching VanDam slow roll that spinnerbait as slow as he could make it go and catching fish...So what does Martines do? Starts burning a chatter bait (WTH) and then starts talking to himself about why he isnt catching anything and VanDam is.. Martines fell apart in day 2 and if KVD wouldn't have shared his baits Martines might not have finished in the top 5.

Van DAMM is king

I actually thought that was quite comical. Honestly, I thought they were just joking back and forth. Wasn't it Martins who said "I must be a magnet to you because everytime I come down here you're here."? Then Van Dam fired back with something like "I see you all the time too".

KVD said I must be a magnet cause every time I come over this way you head over. A-Mart said whatever dude, I've been here to whole time. I think it was a rubbing but KVD was saying you need to point your boat another direction. Then Aaron asked how big that fish was he caught like a 4, 4 1/2? KVD no it was a 5. Aaron said your a funny guy, I just wish every time I looked up I didn't have to see you. He didn't mean as in crowding, he just can't watch guys catch em, it gets in his head. KVD said, I've felt the same way too at time Aaron. Then he said, you can have this, I'm getting out of the way and going over here to catch a 6 or a 7. I caught a 10 over there in practice. Martin said your a funny guy, we should go fishing some time.
