If anyone is fishing in Las Colinas and catches a big bass with a yellow/green large spinnerbait in its mouth , would you be so kind as to return it to me.

TIA

I had a big'un spool me last year. My drag clutch broke off the reel as a bull red was running. I guess he was running so hard my drag clutch got too hot. I was almost tempted to grab the line with my hand. I looped the running line around a paddle over and over until it cinched up and snapped anyway. Funny thing was, I only saved about 10 ft of line. I've got a date to meet back up with that bad boy again this fall.

Actually that bass has got to have a sore mouth! I mean, he's got Randy's spinner, one of my Zoom worms, and one of my Rooster Tails all hanging out of that jaw!! Randy can tell ya about the lures I lost to "that bass", on Saturday.

By the way Randy, did you guys do any good on the Cats at DART saturday night? Inquiring minds want to know.

Rudy ,
I only went out for about an hour as things fell apart, not even a nibble. But I did have to catch someone else's pole after he did the clumsiest cast I have ever seen. Let's see, I caught a pole at California Crossing Friday, Had to catch my own pole on saturday, and had to fish out his pole saturday night. Should I switch to fishing for poles? LOL

There are lots of spots to fish at colinas. I was out last night but didn't have no luck. But Tuesday night I caught 4 bass about 1 1/2 lb average and one Crappie, and had my line busted 3 times by big fish. We were fishing in what these guys call the culvert. I called a buddy of mine last night and he said he had caught twelve bass near the oconnor bridge, just north of Williams Square.

Not trying to be a smart a$$ here but if you're busting line that many times in a row it's time to loosen the drag a bit.

I was just in need of new line. I was just putting it off. went out for about 30 minutes last night and caught a 1 1/2 lb bass. It would have been more impressive if I had left after my first cast, that was when I caught the fish

Randy, I went out last night and fished the culvert between 7:25 and 8:15. Caught two bass, one about 2 lbs, and the other between 5.5 and 6 lbs.(did not break my line!), but on a 1/32nd oz jig head with a white/black pepper metal flake sparkle bass assassin, had to loosen drag, and lay on my belly and lip him up once he was spent! I also hit 3 crappie, one about 15 inches long, one about 13 inches and the other between 11 and 12 inches long! Water was clear, and there were ghost minnows at the mouth of the culvert. I was vertical jigging at the opening of the culvert where it goes under the sidewalk up toward the flagpoles.

Rudy,

good to see here. I've been lurking when I can but have been traveling and finishing up my job. Technically, I'm still employed through Thursday, but truly I'm out of a job. Post up if you're going to be fishing somewhere this week. I would love to meet up and catch up.

Hey Guys

Hit Colinas last week before Randy and it appeared that the bass were on a frenzy. Fishing with the little bass assasins for crappie and ended up on every cast fighting a bass though didn't work my drag. Then the ones I did get up to lazy to lay down and lost several jigs. Did bring in a couple of yellow bass in the #1 range. Went back out this past Wednesday to the culvert and there was some kind of crud on the water got skunked not even a little bream(perch). Plan on going back out this week. Times were very weird these started about 7:10-7:45 and not much after that. Anyone else been out lately. Where you at FishinClyde????? It's time for a group fishing day. RNT,Rudy and anyone else lets set a date and time.
