If it is a four stroke.....Yes. Buy it. They are really good motors.

I have a 2002 140hp 4-stroke on a 19' cc that I have owned since 2006 and love it.

I had a 70 horse 4 stroke and never had any issues with it, always cranked with ease. I now have a 2 stroke 225 and no issues with it.

If it's a two stroke, parts are nearly impossible to get, four strokes are better, but expensive.

Suzuki is, without a doubt and normal maintainence, probably the best outboard on the market, but so is the service and the integrity of Stan Wolf at DFW Alliance Boating Center in Roanoke. Tell him I sent you!

Peering over the transom at 50mph to find that
elusive "smooth spot" is just plain poor
judgement.

I have a friend who has an older 2 stroke Suzuki 200hp. He has ragged that thing out with almost no P.M. Amazingly it still runs like a top.
