It's getting warmer and I'm itching to find some catfish in the Bryan/College Station area. I've fished Gabbards park and pulled out a couple of channel cats but none were over 10 inches. I release everything I catch but I'd still enjoy catching some keeper sized fish. I know the pond at The George Busy library is fairly good for bass but I wasn't sure about catfish. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I am out off TX 21 between Cedar Creek (2 bridges) & Navasota River (3 bridges.

If you are in the B-CS area, and are limited to bank fishing, or even have a 12 foot flat bottom (and no motor), you might try these places:
1) Navasota River [TX 21 East] under 2nd bridge on East side, cast down, as it ranges from 9 to 13 feet deep there. Be careful if casting to far across as you will tangle in old rebar & concrete. If you have a small boat, paddle up to first bend to the right. 8 feet to 12' deep there. If you are good at paddling, keep going, as another spot is about that depth, about halfway up to the "Tee" (which is where the 2nd & 3rd bridge tributaries merge as the river upstream.

2) Brazos River [TX 21 West] under bridges on west side, cast upriver. Used to be a deeper path there in the early 1980s. Did not check back in the 1990s. If you have a boat, can paddle strong, and river is not up, about a mile up is the first rockwall on your left side & white sand beach on the right. Used to be a YellowCat hole, as this was one of the places one of my 2 YellowCat teachers & I ran lines together at.

3) Also Lake Madison in Madisonville (35 miles eastr on TX 21) has plenty of public access for bank fishing but need to see the rules as to see if any special ones apply or ammounts.
