I like flipping right to their living room
with heavy line - not all lakes are conducive to this; so, I slow roll a spinnerbait (blades might matter?) - in any
case - haven't had a good fish fight in a while - how about y'all?

Preach on, Wayne. Night tubin' rules! No sunscreen or sunglasses needed--just thumb protectors!

In years past, I've only tubed from 6am until about 10 or 11 once it gets this hot. I do spend most of my time fishing emergent grass as that's my favorite technique. I intentionally go to lakes that I know this technique will work in summer, and that I know there is grass that will hold some fish.

After getting 2-3 night trips under my belt now, I'm adding that to my bag of tricks. Looks like I'll probably be fishing 3am until 9-10 until it cools. Senkos are the trick for me at night right now. Black #6 Colorado spinnerbaits if those don't produce.

Good'uns?...yep, I've caught a few this summer. But, I'm learning more and more to keep those fish hush-hush!
