I have done Ok on Sandies, But not as good With the Crappie. I have not been able to locate the main brush piles from when the lake was made, i was wondering if those are all gone. Any help would be appreciated.

They are there I believe. Just get a map with the coords if you have gps. Look for the DEEP piles to hold fish right now.

the fish in pool aren't on the piles right now. They are holding on the deep humps. Look for humps that go from 40' to 25' to 35' foot of water. Check the dog head point area. They will hit a jiged spoon nice. Keep it just off the bottom and let the line twist do the work for you. Good luck.

So the piles in the 25-40' range have no fish on them?

I wouldn't say "no fish" but it's not worth taking the time to work them over properly. Not when the humps are holding fish to the point you get a steady bite.

I don't know of any piles that are 40' on pool either tho. You wanna share the location and I'll go check it out and report back.

I know of only 2. One in 36' and one in 42'. They are in the wide open though.

Is one of them right before you get to the bridge on the state park side of the lake? Come to think of it that one is in pretty deep water, deep for pool anyway.

Sounds about right. But anyway, they are hammering spoons on the humps which is a lot easier fishing than jigging a pile. Nice size too, for pool anyway.

I have a Hook N Line map, It says the gps location for one I went to find was in 2 ft of water? Lake at normal level. I will work to find those humps when it thaws out. I did not get the ice breaker bow on my boat.
