Park is closed because the power company wanted a multiple year lease with the city of Irving (?). Who said no thank you. It's been closed ever since.
If the terrorism alert is not "red"?, you can fish the rip rap along belt line. I don't know of anyone that has ventured to the outlet since 9/11. But it's not worth it being July/August.
But the lake has had no pressure at all for a year or so. Fishing ought to be excellent when it cools down a bit (oct). The outlet ought to be smokin when it's smokin this winter. I'm looking for one brave soul to venture there with me some cool october morning. We may need a third to bail us out of jail... Any takers?
