I was wondering what is the best top water or the top few recommended for LM bass. I only fish from the bank, keeping that in mind any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Justfish - I am like you, landlocked. These are the ones that I use. Buzzbait,Pop-R, Jitterbug, Torpedo bait. You can use pretty much any kind of topwater lure, depending on what you have to deal with on the bank. If there is a lot of moss off the bank, I try a frog or mouse. Concentrating on the openings in the moss. Hope this helps.

JustFish, my #1 topwater is a Heddon Tiny Torpedo in black shore minnow pattern. If there's a lot of heavy cover, try a plastic frog.

Don't forget the Rattlin Chug Bug, if you like popper style bait it's a winner.

One of my favorites is a FinS Sluggo with no weight. It will usualy stay on top or just a couple of inches below the surface. Just cast it out and twitch it in and make sure you feel the fish before you set the hook. I say this because I used to try and set the hook as soon as they hit it and I missed a lot of fish.
