I decided today to go out to a small lake and bank fish. I only had a Wally Marshall pole with a slip bobber and jig. With the rising water from the rain and snow melt, I saw a huge log near the shore about 30 feet to my left. I figured it was at least 5 feet deep. I flipped it it right near the log. At first I thought I got snagged but then the snag started bolting for deeper water. Fought it for about a minute. Unbelievable. Released it back to her home.

Thanks to a construction guy across the way for taking these pics.

Nothing beats catching an unexpected giant when just fooling around for the small ones.

Now that is fun stuff! My buddies (now ex) wife caught a 4.5 pound fish on a crappie jig on 4 lb on an ultralight. Took her for a ride!

You guys are killing me. Too funny. Yeah I'm a big dude.

Probably the biggest bass I have caught in 15 years.
