I used to throw these about 10 years back at Fork and do real well. My buddies uncle would have a box full of nothing but red traps, and we had free will to all, except the 'Golden' Milos. They would significantly out fish the other brands and of course they were obsolete at that point.
Question: Do you guys have a clue of what I'm talking about?
And if so is there ANY way to obtain these certain traps anymore?

Bet you are talking about a Milo. I have two or three left, but the company went under several years ago. I have won three tournaments because of those baits, I only throw them when my other go to lipless bait bite dies and I am in a tourny

Thanks Javelin....I wonder if they still have any of the red Milo's they'd be willing to part with for the right price..

I still have 5 of the 1 ounce orange and black glitter ones. One of the best magnum lipless baits I have fished.

If I am not mistaken they are just generic trap bodies. Some guys here bought some bodies and had Joe Spaits at weedless lures paint them up.

If I am not mistaken they are just generic trap bodies. Maybe so...I just know they outfished whatever other brand being used at the time 5 to 1 easy. The Cordell Spot is generic...these were different for some reason...unless it was some crazy minor detail with the finish/design.

Actually years ago while ripping red traps on Fork in late winter a buddy breaks out his secret: red rattleing Milos. Outfished the RattleTrap brand 3to1. Coincidence? I soon tied one on. Someone buy the company so I can conduct the study again!

So does this guy just have a warehouse full of these things laying around?
Who manufactures them?.......Mr. Allen himself?
