Not been to Irving,... weather, work, other excuses, etc.... Did get some other things done; like update the Summary of Lures and Baits used during the 2010-2011 Trout Stocking Season. May be of interest to some who are getting ready to fish for Trout in ponds that have been or are being stocked this Season! Top 5 Lures and Baits for Community Lakes

Caught a steady limit the first five days after they were stocked. Tried yesterday and was skunked.

Caught this 14-inch Rainbow at South Lakes Pond in Denton Today. Caught on Powerbait Dough. Others were catching on Corn.   How on earth did you get that thing to sit still for a photo?! I have caught many trout here in San Antonio, and i dont have any good pics because they do not stop flippin around. ?? Any tips, thanks

Have not tried it since last time I posted. Did notice around 10 to 20 commorants last time which is only a few compared to last year. At least 50 were there last year and I did not catch a thing.

Power eggs have seemed to work the best for me in the past and in Irving on the day of stocking I caught my limit without having to put on new bait. This is not the case with the trout nuggets and/or trout dough baits.

The fish flopped for a minute of two then I snapped the photo. I thought I hooked a catfish. One of the guys there said it was biggest one they seen there in years. He kept wanting to hold it.

Got skunked in Irving today. Only one other guy there caught one trout. Are they having a kid's event this weekend. Someone told me but I'm not sure.
