Visiting family in Friendswood today. Found a neat place to take kids and adults fishing. Off SH35, between Alvin and Pearland, there is a catfishing hole. Pay $1 per person. You can also rent fishing pole, too. Buy bait and sit in the shade while catching catfish. The smallest catfish I saw today was about 6lbs. One guy took his two young daughters for a couple of hours and caught two channel catfish. 6# and 7#. All the people I saw had at least one or more catfish on a stringer. I believe the name of this place was "Fisherman's Paradise" Catch fish and let the property management clean your catch for a small fee. Cheap entertainment, if you do or do not have boat! I liked the covered Picnic tables, next to the pond. The manager said they re-stock the pond every Wednesday. Only Catfish...
