Wind was much more manageable today but don't ever let anyone talk you out of going fishin because of an East wind...

25 caught between 12 and 3:30. All caught on Slab Babdit Texas Toast. No Toads today, just good eatin size, nothin under 11" and up to 13". A good afternoon.

The man stepped up to the plate and hit a walk off home run. Those Crappie are for you DW.

Just happen to be in the area as Pepop was heading to the house, and manage to curb him for a cup of coffee. Knowing I had been sick all week and haven't left the house, he just happened to mosey over to his boat and flopped open the lid on his Live Well.

When your able to get the thermometer out of your mouth (or Butt), off the couch, and onto the lake, it is still happening. I enjoyed the coffee, the visit, and remembering what a Live Well of fish looks like.

I got another week before I haft to get back to work, maybe I'll have a better week, after Christmas, and we can work'm over a time or two.

Good mess of slabs there Pepop..I guess the the sayin "when the wind is out the east, the fish bite the least" isnt true! Now arent you glad you didnt camp out on the couch, and wish that you had gone fishing! Nice haul!

I sure wanted to pull my boat to work today and hit the lake after our holiday lunch. But, I had to load tools to work next week, while the plant is shut down.

Pepop You catch al'them by Your self? Your coming on wit it MAN!Me and 83 and one of his good friends slipped up a hidden treasure creek today for about 2 hours did 60 plus Rusty nail and oranges were the ticket caught a few on blue/chart as well, nothin on the Toast.

That's funny. My father-in-law is 89 and he has always had that belief, even while we are sitting there catching fish, he'll be saying "the fish aren't going to bite". I do miss hearing him say that as he can't get in the boat now. GOOD JOB Pepop!

I think someboby must have been feeling sorry for him and gave him all them crappie. Cold, windy, & overcast!!! No way he was on the water.

Pepop, Us Seasoned Veterans haft to live within limits. I remember being a young Fire Pi$$er like these guys. But the number of days just keep adding up, until one day you just ain't as mad at those Crappie as you use to be.

But even with that, I am beginning to feel better and expect to see ya next week. Might even get the chance to meet a few of these other guys. That would be great.

ALTHOUGH:

Us sissy's (Myself) will be out after the cold is relaxed a touch, 10ish, maybe 11ish on those 25-28 degree mornings, but I was sick last week, I am going to make up for it this week.

Hope you guys don't mind me sharing some water. I expect to start Sunday Mid-Day. keith
