Don't know much about the mechanics of them, but my buddy had one on his old Legend and it was sweet! He ended up breaking the transom on that boat and Legend got him into another one with his old motor and it's STILL running strong!

I do believe this is the 3.3L

If so its the same motor as the 225, and the 250. All hardware is the same except for the computer running it.

I have a 2005 200 HPDI and absolutly love it, even though I have having a small issue with it at the moment, but nothing that would make me talk bad about it.

I have the 225 and have no problems with it, just change the water seperator, fuel filter and gas treatment regular and you should be good to go. LOVE MINE oops forgot plugs too

Maim problem I see on Yamys is the manual fuel pump diaphrams and its not an expensive fix.

Just bought a 2004 Skeeter SL210 with the 200hp VMAX OX66! Test drove it and the motor ran strong! Gonna give it a good detail this weekend! Thanks guys!

Dunno about the HPDI, but I had a 97 Pro V 200 on my ZX202c. Never had a lick of trouble out of that motor other than being a bit cold-natured after sitting up for a bit. Still had 125psi xcross all cylinders when I sold it at 11 years of age with 375 hours on it. Routine maintenance and tune-ups were all I ever did to that engine.

Vmax is a fine engine, but just listen to these guys as they mention Reguler Maintenance!
