my dad will be in town over christmass and i want to take him catfishing. i was hoping to be able to rent a catfish boat but i cant find any place that will rent one. so i fugured a guide would be just as good or probly better. i was thinking the lowest price and best chance of caching some bigguns. im in the dallas/ft. worth area. i know some of you are guids and i dont want this post to get anyone riled up cause someones bashing on a guide service so please PM me if you guys could.
thanks-adam

Don't be afraid to drive south for a little ways. We're catching some nice ones on Waco and limestone.

Plus one with Tex on lavon and Terry on Eagle Mountain. I know both of them and they are both great guides. Not sayin that none of the other out there arent. Those are just the guides that i know personally.

+1 on Tex. Great guy to learn from and will put you on some good fish. He's been catching some nice fish lately at Lavon.

If your interested in catching alot of fish, probabaly not any huge but a limit of channels, Might try Mr. Whiskers. Now he does not target huge fish such as some of these guys, but for sure will put a limit in your hands for both you and your father and anyone else that you bring. mrwhiskerscatfishbait.com
Just depends on where your located i guess. And if your targeting just big fish best bet with others.

Merry Christmas to you and your family. Sounds like you have a good plan. To quote one of my T-shirts "Fishing is much more than catching fish, it's spending time with dad".

Bobby for Gvine or Lewisville, Brothere Terry or Chad for Eagle Mountain, Tex or Capt Larry for Lavon. Capt Larry's $35 party boats trips are a good value and he will likely put you on some fish, just realize his attention is spread out over some more people.

Bobby Kubin on Lewisville or Grapevine or book a Red River trip with Capt. Steve Barnes.

Can't go wrong with either of those two.
