I drive by some ponds on 130 near Round Rock and Hutto and I am not sure if they have anything in them. Has anyone tried fishing them or can recommend some place to go near Hutto that I could fish?

not sure about the ponds you mentioned but this link might be of use.

Dont forget that they are releasing trout in local ponds & rivers starting next week. A couple of places in Georgetown are stocked as well as a pond in N. Austin.

Thanks for the help, I think I may try and slip into one of them sometime this week, since there are no fences or signs saying no fishing or anything like that.

I have one too that I am curious about. right before the san gabriel in georgetown when you exit weir road inbetween 130 and inner loop. i have never seen it without water, but i don't know if it is drainage or not?

I have wondered that as well. The one right off the san gabriel by inner loop and 130. Might need a truck to get down there, but I have seen birds down there.. (the fish eating type) I would love to hear someone else' experience if they have fished down there. As far as fishing in hutto, I odnt know of a place other than the Brushy Creek on 685 just south of 79. I have never fished there but see others down there. Usually some current, but there might be something in there. There is a good little pond off of 79 and red bud... Its off of forest creek golf course.. But last time I went there it was loaded with moss, about 20-30 feet al around the edge so you woulkd have to have a kayak or something comparable... With all the cold weather you might want to try that place assuming that the weeds have died off a bit. If you do go check it out let me know, I might go with ya, there are some decent bass in there.
