Went to burn some time today with my daughter and decided to visit Converse North. When we first got there at about 3 oclock they were hitting pretty good. Got a few bluegill and more of these redear sunfish. They have a different coloring than the redear I've caught on the rivers.  While there we ran into Charles and Corey, and they were nice enough to share their spot and a couplee of worms with us. They ended up with a nice little stringer full with Corey catching a really nice 9" bluegill. Sorry about the terrible pictures, all I had was my phone  We ended up catching about 30 all in all,with a real good bite starting as the sun went down.

Wow Mike. Sounds like a very good afternoon of fishing. That lake can really produce some nice fish. Good job.

north converse has an excellent sunfish fishery going on there. glad you guys had a great time.

Hey "Jonesy_84" while the weather is warm during the day maybe you can nail one of those nice gills on the fly. Just a suggestion. As for the fishery I have to agree with you on that. For the size of that lake It has produced some very large gills.
