will the fresh water now running into the lakes cause the catfish to move into the creeks like in the spring?

possibily. Most catfish will explore into new area and where fresh water is. What lake(s) are you fishing? You should try live bait for catfish in creek channels.

The kitties love newly flooded ground. They are already in the shallows as it is and the newly flooded ground just creates more cover for you to fish.

Your bait does NOT need to be live bait. They will bite any GOOD bait.

I caught a limit of fish that were all nice size fish on Sure Shot Thursday in about 14" of water

Thanks for the replies. That is what I thought would happen. We had a lot of run-off here in Northeast Tx. Friday and Sat. Sunday or Monday I'll put up the crappie and bass eqpt. and go into the kitty bidness.

Went to back end of Sandlin in Brushey Creek Monday caught 23 channels up to 4 pounds. Used Bill's and Sonny's dip baits. Water level going down, don't know how long they will stay in there. Going back to see. Oh yes, Greenville area got about 10 inches of rain over the weekend. Creeks feeding into Tawakoni should be full of cats. Most of the creeks up here in Northeast Texas needed a good flushing. Good for cats and the crappie that move up the creeks in the winter. Well, going the "office."
