Jesse, perhaps someone else can add to this, but there is very little access to Richland Chambers for bank fishermen, so you will really need a boat.

Most of the land is private property. Some of the marina's offer bank fishing access, but some of that isn't the greatest water except during certain times of the year.

Sorry I'm no Richland Chambers expert, just spent a couple weekends there last summer. I really do love the lake, but you would be wise to spend the money to fish with someone like Chris Watson. He catfish guides on the lake, and is a member of this board.

JESSE Tarrant county built this lake .This is a hard lake to bank fish .There is a public boat ramp off of the east side of the bridge were a man could fish ,but be carefull. The fish are not bitting all that great right now..The big blues are still nesting real close to cover.Caught them in the middle of the day 12-3 fishing in 5 foot of water right in the middle of brush. One of those dills if you dont get a bite your hung up..Using DANNY KINGS PUNCH bait

Hey Jesse. Bigcat dave from wr bridge. How's it going man? I've been fishing Chambers for several years from the bank.
There is still good bank access. I got several spots for ya.
1ST-287 bridge, cross the lake on 287, as soon as you get across, left hand side, you can drive right to the bank. This spot has produced pretty much year round for blues.
2ND- 309 flats. West on 287 cross the bridge, go south where 309 used to. Work your way down some of the back roads till you find an abandoned church, nice point to fish. Has worked for me mid-spring and fall time, water is pretty shallow.
3RD- Fishermans's Point- look at the map, not hard to find. Cost a coupla $ to fish but well worth it, plus the got a restaurant.
Hope this helps! Grab a map, jump in the truck and drive, drive, drive. I've found more good blue fishing spots gettin lost than on purpose.
Tight lines and full baskets. See you in the winter. Dave

thanks for the tips to all . the reason i was asking was that i met a guy at whiterock this sunday and he told me about a place on 45 before getting to corsicana heading east on a hwy he didnt know but promised to put me on some huge blues .i looked on the map and found 31 and it seems to have a couple of bridges there .supposed to meet up with him friday morning and follow him there to try it ... he tells me that by looking at the area you would think that it sucks but he promised me something good . he told me that i had better spool up some 30 lb test . cant wait to see if hes for real .thanks again ! ps. thanks dave i didnt realize it was you till i re-read my post hehe

If you have a problem at Richland Chambers come on over the Cedar Creek and fish Tom Finley Park or better yet the 334 bridge close by. You might like it.
