I have decide to get some bee readys. I want to get a 4 rod holder system w/ stand for the back and front of my boat.

I just cant decide if i want to get the older style rod holder, that only move side to side or the new ones that move side to side and up and down to determine what angle you want your rod at.

Anyone out there tried the 2 different styles???

I've got both. I prefer the newer one that allow up/down adjustments. If I'm just drifting, I'll adjust the rod where they angle more than when anchoring shallow. When shallow and using clickers, I adjust it so the rod tips are low, easier for cats to pull the line out.

"the older style rod holder, that only move side to side".
Will do anything you need to do. I don't want my rods sticking up high for the wind to catch the line. They also have adjustable bottom discs that can be adjusted up or down. The older ones are stronger as well. I have both and use both, but the new ones I keep adjusted all the way down so they are essentially the same as the old ones.
If you feel the need for the new ones order them, both are excellent products.
