Never been on the lake, any pointers to where I might find a few catfish ? I'd like some box fish and maybe something to put a little pressure on "CATHOG"in this months catfish quest. A #51 will be tough to beat, but you never know !

Most of the fish and bait are holding around fifteen ft of water, I have only been on the water 2 times in last few weeks and fishing has been tough.Lake is about 5 ft low so watch out their are a few shallow humps that have timber sticking out of water.

Dang, He made it tough right off the get - go !!! I was thinking a guy might get a Flattie over at Cooper that might get close. All of that standing timber they show on the map, should be flathead country. I'm new to this bluecat fishing, but I'll figure it out hopefully !

we went to cooper with tommy in feb and had a blast! it's a nice little lake and the cabins are great - right on the water - you can seriously fish off the balcony!

Hmmmmmm,,, Thinking about getting rid of the Bluewave catfish rig and taking up a hobby that I can learn,,,, maybe bowling ? I took SassyCat with me to Cooper .... Loved the lake, but HOT with no breeze. We caught 8 box fish, but nothing worthy of a picture, kinda embarassed !! Help ! I'm needing lessons or someone to put me out of my misery....

8 box fish......it's better than a kick in the pants. and i am sure you have heard it but i'll say it again......fishing for big yellas can be a very humbling experience. it requires alot of patience and practice. i would recommend you book a trip with a good flat head guide (i.e. j mounger or fish hauler). the cost of the trip would be nothing compared to all of the knowledge you would gain from one of those guys! just my .02 and good luck!

I Love GOD,my WIFE&kids & FISHIN!
