Hello all,
I will be heading to Bridgeport monday & tuesday. Just curious where you guys think one should start? I have a upper end lowrance & will be putting around for the day to look around. I am looking for some hybrids/whites.. I have not fished for Hybrids ina while & very excited to catch a few.. Any tips on teh lake would be appreciated. I am going to head over to Basspro to get a good map tomorrow. If anyone is heading out monday I would even like to meet and chat for a bit.. I will be in a brown champion...

Britton, Dennis and I were there on Mon the 21st and did well around Rattlesnake Island. Just look for the birds and you should be fine. Artificials worked well for us and seem to be what others that fish Bridgeport regularly use this time of year. Look for MWAcosta's posts--he knows Bridgeport better than anybody. By the way, the fishing got good around noon and the sandies were real good as well. Good luck

What color was the best producer for ya'll? I am guessing white or chart.

Both were good, but white produced the bigger hybrids. The wind was giving us trouble so we used mainly slabs cause we were in 50 ft of water. Others have been catching them on sassy shad plastics and even jigs. Good luck and please post results.

Was that you on Mon the 21st with a couple of kids and adults on Bridgeport? We saw a white Sea Pro with blue lettering that was definitely a guide catching fish like gangbusters.

Yep, Look for birds, there are more here than there have been in years. The lake is very healthy and producing some VERY fat Hybrids and Sandies.
