Fished CC with a friend on Saturday 8/30 for the last time. I'm moving to Chicago September 8th for a new job and I'm already cold!

We kept 40 large sandies and 1 catfish. All of them came off the spillway hump in 15 - 16 feet of water using the hellbender/petspoon. In the two years I have been fishing CC they were consistantly the largest sandies I have caught. I kept looking at the tooth patches to make sure I wasn't keeping small hybrids.

I want to say thank you to each and every one of you that have posted on this forum and the knowledge about fishing that you you were willing to share. I've lived in Dallas for the last 25 years and just bought a boat and began fishing last year. Go figure why it took so long. Without this forum, I don't think I would have had the success and the enjoyment of fishing that I experienced.

I'm taking my Robalo with me and I'm going to try fishing Lake Michigan. Maybe try the hellbender petspoon combo on those Coho Salmon and Steelhead Trout, but I don't think its going to be the same!

I've enjoyed reading this forum and having the opportunity to put faces with names at times.

Thanks to all of you for being willing to share a great sport.

Ferris : Thanx for allowing me the oportunity to meet and fish with you. What Texas is losing , Illinois is gaining. Let me know where you land as I was born and lived up there the first 35 years of my life. Lake Mi. can be great and evil with not to much time in between. Good Luck.

Ah! The Windy City! It is called that for a reason, you know. I was up there for 2 weeks in January one time and thought I was going to get sea-sick. The 50 story hotel I was in kept moving in the wind.

January-February you will be ready to come back to good, old, hot Texas.

I knew I should have gone to Cedar Creek last Thursday. I decided on Lewisville Lake and blew my trolling motor up while holding in the wind for surfacing sandies (all dinks). If I would have gone to Cedar Creek I wouldn't have been using the trolling motor. Oh well, I would have just delayed the inevitable. It lasted almost 10 years and more hours then I could ever keep track of. It was time for an upgrade.

We'll keep Cedar Creek Fished for you. Take advantage of some of the opportunities up there, especially the walleye, pike and muskie fishing and the lake trout in Lake Michigan. The walleye, pike and muskie will probably be up in Wisconsin. Also, you get to Ice Fish this winter, It can be fun if you are prepared. Good Luck!

Well, you have the boat to handle that Lake! I will miss seeing you spin your wheels on the ramp, pulling that vessel out of the water! , but check to forum and see what is going on and let us know what is going on.
