Check out the St croix glass crankbait rod! I love mine, its all I use for shallow cranking. I'm hopefully gonna buy a longer one soon for some deep cranking.

The American Rodsmith David Fritts rod is a great glass rod for under $100

Man there is a lot of crankbait rods out there for under that price. Problem is can you use the same rod for deep crankin and shallow crankin. No. Take a 6'6" stout rod with 65lb. Power Pro and you can crank little crank baits in the grass like mad. But you can't use it for tossin weighted Poes 400s in 20' of water. I say get with a buddy that cranks and get in his head. I have over 50 Poes that I weighted back in the day. I really caught a lot of bass on those baits. I used a David Fritts crankin stick by Lews for those baits. Nice rod and Bass Pro still sells a Lews.

thanks for the replies, this gives me something to research. I think I lose quite a few fish using my graphite rods. Right now I use a fast/light GT40x all star for crankbaits.

Thanks for the perspective though. I have a 7' med hvy bionic blade I may use for deep crankbaits if I start fishing the lake again.

I have two of the old style Dawia glass crankbait rods. One is a 6'6" and the other is a 7" and they are both in good shape. I will take 100.00 for both of them. If interested pm me for details.

I know there are alot of quantum haters out there and generally I am one of them but the tour kvd cranking rods are amazing for cranking. They are right at the top of your price range though.
