i didn't know seafoam was a stabilizer?

1988 winner bass boat, any one tell me why the sterring is so hard, greased all fittings, still hard ?

Seafoam is the "majic snake oil" if there ever was any!!! Yes it will save your cables, I will try to make this short and tell ya how to do it, You can PM me if ya don't get it all in the post. First put down something under the dash on the floor to keep it from getting on carpet. Loosen both nuts that are on ends of cables going into steering helm (lets fluid go thru cables). Remove cables from engine. Get some vinel tubeing (home depot) that is big enough to go over the cables, maybe 3 1/2' long. Remove grease jerks and slide tubeing over entire cable ends up past cable housing. Turn steering wheel so the cable you are working on is extended all the way. Attach with radiator hose clamp to hold tubeing onto the cable housing. Fill tubeing with sea foam. Now you will need an air compressor. Take an old air fitting (I used the fitting that ya use to fill tires but any fitting will work) stick it in the other end of the tubeing and attach it with a radiator clamp. Keep the hose up so sea foam will not drain out (tie it to engine anywhere) Depending on how strong your compressor is or how plugged up your cables are) attach your air to the fitting. It may take awhile to get the sea foam to go thru the cables (I have had to leave it on overnight at 150lbs of pressure before). Once the sea foam has gone thru the cables (you will see it coming out under dash -oh yea ya might want to wrap a wrag around the nuts at the steering helm so the fluid doesn't spray all over) you have cleaned out the cables. They will now feel free!! repeat same process using moblie one oil, when it starts coming out under dash at helm turn steering wheel side to side then tighten up nuts and attach cables. GOOD AS NEW hope this helps anyone who is running regular cables. just my two cents
