I just received my new Hummingbird 597CI, hauled butt home from work, got her installed and blasted off to the lake for a test run..

only to find myself.. nowhere.. in the middle of a no man's land just off highway 59...

apparently Coleto Creek Reservoir does not exist, at least not on Humminbird's 'uni-map' anyway.

so now what?

It's on the Navionics maps. You can buy one and put it in the card slot on front. Navionics South Premium card is the least expensive.

Actual I think the Navionics Hot Maps regular is the cheapest. but you need to check and make sure your lakes are on it. Here is the link;

If you want contour lines you'll want the Navionics Premium Maps. Uni Map is only lake outlines with no maps. UniMap is supplied to Humminbird by Navionics also.

That's why you want to get the Navionics Premium Card - it's in HD 1 foot contours: http://www.navionics.com/LakeList_HMPremium.asp?RegionID=2

Well I went to Academy and bought the Navionics premium for the South.

got home and realized its the 09 not the 2010 edition.

they wont take it back.

I was so excited they had it i didnt even think to check what edition it was.

it is nice though.
