Took Jacob (the famous fish biologist from TCU) and Tyler out to Lewisville this morning. Started out by Lake Park catching a few schoolies in 2-4ft of water. Saw some nice hybrids bust up, but couldn't get a bite. Moved out by the middle of the dam in 40-50ft of water and the sand bass were busting up small shad everywhere. About 20 boats were out playing nice enjoying the action. You had to match the hatch today to get a consistent bite. They were feeding on shad 1-2" long. Best lures were small Assassins on jig heads and a small Pop-R. We caught around the 200 mark and left the fish biting. Maybe 50 of those fish would have been keepers, but it was fun constant action on the ultra-lights. Kept 19 of varied sizes for Jacob's research. Great day on the water!

Sounds like the same as we've been doing the last few days. Found many schools of dinks, nothing big, but fun anyway.
You guys know everything..... I'm just an idiot....no problem........

Lance My buddie and I were out there as well yesterday, I thought that was you but didn't know if you had clients or not so I just left you alone. FYI, On LL Lance, if you through small baits your going to catch small fish. It sounds like you were tring to catch the schoolies with your bait selection that you were using. I saw lots of 3-4in gizzard shad out there too. You just had to stay with the Hybrid food and fish deeper and this is what is under them! I think we ended up with 14 keeper Hybrids and a bunch of really good sized sandies with them.

Saw you catch a few of those pigs David. We were after the schoolies because Jacob needed different size sand bass for research. I was just having fun watching them two tear them up. Good to see you out there. Keep up the good work.
