Is there any place close to Katy where I can run a bass boat - and actually open it up for a minute or two? I've not lived over this way long and the closest places I know are Lake Houston, Conroe, or maybe up towards Gibbons Creek and Somerville. I really hate traveling that far just to make a quick 20 minute test run to insure everything is working properly; so, I appreciate any suggestions you have to offer. Thanks, Tinfish

Thanks for the info, everybody; but, that is still 80 plus miles away from my location. For just a quick 20 minute test drive, I was hoping to find something much closer to the house - a municipality type lake or something. I see a Cannon's lake on the map, about 10 miles SE of Sealy (below 10). Does anybody know about running in there - or, maybe even the river? Thanks, again.
