I fished today with Paul Woodall and his son Jeff, from the Katy, TX area.
The fish bite started on the first cast, but the bite was so lite that 3/4 of the hook set would end in a missed fish. After a few fish we decided to try another spot and it was amazing the difference in the bite. The fish were more aggressive in taking the bait which resulted in hookups most bites.

Ended the day at 11am with 50 fish limit, largest going 5.5#.

All fish caught on SureShot punch bait, under cork, in 6-8 foot water.

Glad you're back in the groove!

Sureshot doesn't start with a 'C' or end with a 'J' (lol) ?

Thank God for fish !

TGff, you are paying attention.
I used SureShot the last couple of days, water temps at Fayette are running over 93 degrees, hot enuff to melt bait if it does not have a good bit of tallow in it, so Sureshot and CJ's both have a place in my arsenel.

I heard the water level dropped by 3 feet when he got off the lake with those fish.

Trying to glean bits of wisdom from the local catmaster (and the other great TFF cat experts) until I have the opportunity to learn first hand.
