I have some clients in Austin that I would like to take fishing. What is a good lake near Austin for this? Also recommendations on guides to contact would be helpful.

Lake Buchanan is close. Try Jim Crawford for a guide he is on of the best in that area, sorry I don't have his phone number ------------------ www.texasstriper.com

I bumped into Joey Martin quite a few times at the ramp this summer, and he always seemed to be catching stripers. I think he claims to have been fishing the lake for over 30 years. He has a small tackle shop in Marble Falls. The phone no. is 830-693-7365.
