I am checking out lakes to buy property on and Cedar Creek Lake is one of the finalists. You seem to know it about as good as anyone and I was wondering about a trip. I could do any Thursday or Friday after the 4th of July, whatever you have open. (I can't take any vacation in August or September so those months it would have to be a Friday.) I could do a Saturday but I mostly stay off of the lakes on weekends during the summer.

I am only familiar with the lake and not the area surrounding it. I also do not have a boat anymore as I sold it this spring.

The guy to contact concerning fishing and property around Cedar Creek is Ernest Paty. He has a home on Cedar Creek and a reality business in the DFW area. He's one heck of a fisherman, too. He's in Florida right now and will return Wednesday.

I'd almost bet if you posted to his attention, he'd not only take you around the lake in his boat showing you the area but he'd let you fish some, too.

Redfin! Thanks for the quick reply. I'll check Ernest and Steve and see if they can do what I want (maybe both).

While you are boatless, if you have a Friday off with no way to go fishing, email me. Maybe we can hook up. The lake really doesn't matter. If it is any besides Grapevine or Ray Bob you'll have to get me to the boat ramp. I have an 18 1/2' Procraft Fish&Ski with a 115 Merc on it. It doesn't handle winds above 15 MPH or so very well but other then that it works pretty good.
