I tried some night fishing last Thursday and Friday on the east lake, and it just sucked. Just 1 3-pounder. The lake is full of grass, almost matted at 10' depth.

Maybe some of you are better than me at fishing that stuff, so good luck.

spot lake it is. I am liking it now because I have found some toads stacked up in spots. I am ready for the BLT to start. And some days I couldnt shock some fish up.

The one I caught was in about 15', and he was healthy. Looks like they're eating well, but they have so much grass to hide in. I've never been a deep-water fisherman, and I'm guessing they're out there somewhere.

Good thing I don't fish tourneys, or I'd lose my butt. I've heard it's a great bass lake, and I've heard that it sucks. So, I guess if you know 'where' to fish, you can do well. congrats to those of you who know some things.

Lake Tyler is a great night fishing lake, but like any lake it's all about timing. I have had many tough nights on Lake Tyler but anytime you have a highly pressured lake with clear water the night fishing should be good. When you fish that lake at night remember that the water is clear and if your fishing during the full moon the fish will be in areas that they would on a blue-bird sky day! I would fish a bit shallower at night, with the grass the fish will move more.
