Anyone know where the stripers are going to be Sunday morning???? I figure I will look in front of wolf cove then move to the east side and look from there to the center of the woods.
There will be some rain tonight with a ne wind at about 5-9mph all through the day tomarrow.
See ya out there.

that plan would have worked today. The fish were a little scattered and up and down. Largest group of birds was around the Wolf Cove humps, but allot of Sandbass in that area. Not much going on in the Woods this morning.

They schooled from Wolf Cove all the way to the trees on Thurs. Easy limit of stripers & plenty magnum sandies. Wish I was not working today so I could go get in them again.
Personal best : Freshwater Red - 26.11lb. Striper - 15lb. Black- 7lb.

How does a person get to Wolf Cove? I'm only marginally familiar with Tawakoni and I don't see Wolf Cove anywhere on the map.

what do you use to catch them when you find them schooling? We saw some schooling and breaking the water near Red Bear Reach but we couldnt get a bite. they were only on top for a couple seconds and threw rattle traps at em.

We were using 1 oz. jigs & chartruse sassy shads. Wolf Cove is the first cove to the left when you leave Holiday Marina. Stay on the hump out in front of the cove & wait for the action.

Puttman, GOt to the wolf cove humps a little late (0800)on Tues moning. birds were still working but it seemed to be mostly whites underneath. Nothing stayed up long but there are two schools alternating on the North and south sides of the humps. the birds will lead the way. I got tired of chasing birds and getting there too late. so I picked a spot and trolled most of the day. Picked up whites on every pass, sometimes doubles, pretty much all day long. kept 15 over 14" and let the other 75 or so go. I did manage to get if front of the school under birds at 130 pm and caught a striper, hybrid and white in three casts (rainbow slab)before the wind pushed me off the school. All three were about 16". they scattered after that.
