I plan on taking my son and father to R.C. Sat. Planning on checking out the hot spots from Oak Cove Marina to the 309 flats. Any general areas holding fish better than others? Was planning on looking for suspended fish around Pelican Island. I hope the birds make it easy for me. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

just look for birds working or sitting on the water, fish will be suspended, surfacing or right on the bottom...look at your graph and when you get into them pitch that marker over the side and tear them up.

Steve:
I don't know what this cold weather will do to the fishing this weekend but I would check the 309 Flats the first thing and just look for the birds. Lots of fish in the this area last Tuesday and Wednesday but moving around a lot.
Check 26 to 32 water at Pelican Island and look for the birds. Not many fish breaking water but working the shad deep. Also a lot fish in this area from 10:30AM on last Tuesday and Wednesday.
Best lure both days - Chart. Rainbow Minnow
Good luck
