Wife and I going to East Texas for the last of the spawning run in the Sabine. Hear they are still catching them on Crawfish better than anything else. Don't have a seine and haven't dragged for bait in many years. My question is this. Do any of you know of a place on the way to Carthage from Dallas that sells them for bait. Sure would appreciate the help. We are going Sunday afternoon.

Cliff:
Just returned from two days at river ridge and did well for me .All nice size sandies and one big yellow bass.
You will probably have to find the crawdads when you get there. Jane may have a source, but you can net them this time of yeart in bar ditches if you have a net and another person.
I caught my fish on mainly a rattlin rapala and some on a crawdad crank bait.
RR is a nice spot and will be there again next spring. The river was dropping yesterday moring(about 6 inches overnight)but still plenty of fish in river.Call me and I will tell you where I fished.Good Luck.

Since crawfish are in season you could probably find them at some supermarkets, I usually stop by Hooters and get a couple beer's some wings and then buy a couple pounds off of the store.

I have seen many crawfish in the ditches along the roads/highways. If the water has been there for a while...they are in there. Clear water and off-color have them right now.
