Ventured out this a.m. between 9 and 11 but never came across major schools. I took a look at the boat show by the dam and also the boat show between the dam and the trees, but I didn't see too many fish being caught. Not much wind this a.m. and there was a full moon last night.

I'm in for lunch, but I'm goin back out afterwards to look for the mid-day schools. I'll post my results later. --oFishalBusiness

Yeah finally had a good size school stay on top at about 1 but they were all small small sandbass. Did pick up one good hybrid slabbing below them. Saw a couple of other hybrids caught but not much else/

Jason, I was finally drawn into the boat show off Lewisville Lake Park about that time. Is that the one you're talking about? After reading all the horror stories all week, I was happy to see how well everyone handled the action. What were you drivin?

Actually think I started a small boat show by the dam around 6:45...kinda short lived.
Moved out to the trees and found another show. Soon everyone spotted the egrets working off to the West. I felt like the last horse out of the shoot as everyone thundered off so I skulked off toward Deadman's (via twin poles) to play with the GPS. Couple of boats, but the action was slow. Caught a few on slabs and humdingers. Learned a little about the structure there and Gravel Pits. Went for a boat ride.
Oh yeah..about 50, mostly small, but a couple nice ones. Lotta fun. smile

we fished from noon - 3:00 or so.

was in the middle of the boat show along the trees.

everyone acted ok. only one ski boat plowed thru the whole time. and i think he even realized what he had done when it was too late and he slowed down.

100 fish. mostly dinks. a few good sized. some undersized hybrids.

castmaster spoons(best) and little georges

ensignjason,
Good to meet you yesterday. Always nice to add a face to a name. I guess I was the "good guy in a party boat". Thanks smile

Fly,

Jason I think I may have seen you a few times I am in an older 16ft tracker type boat... I guess I will put XYZ on the tail end of my boat soon. Night fishing on Ray Bob was good guys, lots of dink crappie but still enough to make a limit in the long run. Maybe we can coordinate a rendezvous on a lake somewhere sometime soon. Wadda you think Jason?

Fished again in the afternoon / evening.

We found surfacing sandies plus jigged some up near the bouy by the trees north of the dam late in the evening. I'm referring to the tree bouy that is closer to the 121 cut. The graph was heavy with fish. My two boys caught them all, or reeled in the ones where I set the hook anyways. They had a great time and are really improving their casting and reeling (Ages 3 and 7).

I talked to a nice man yesterday evening fishing with his two older sons, and they said that the "reel" action in the morning was in the trees on the east side of themain lake. I had seen that boat show too, but didn't go take a look as the other two boat shows I had checked seemed unproductive. If the lake weren't so low, I would have gone out to take a look, but I was on the wrong side of 'em and didn't want to drive through the forest. I was hoping but never did see large schools near Hidden Cove Park as I did last weekend.

That's the oFishalBusiness report. I can't fish Sunday as I'm going out of town again. Good luck to all. Let us know how Sunday turns out.

Krappyfisher- just left you a reply on one of the other posts. What would be a good idea(I think) is TFF sticker for the boat. That would be an easy way to identify other TFF'ers. I would like to meet some of the other guys on here but I feel kinda odd asking someone I dont know if they get online. Just an idea.

Fishing has been great near the trees. Just watch out for the stumps.....they can make a mess of your lower unit.
