Anybody fish this lake? I have a friend and his son that live that direction and I'm thinking about hauling the boat up there to take them fishing. Dad doesn't have a boat and son is dieing to go fishing. ANy crappie in the lake?

Gosh, I fished a bass tournament in that lake about 40 years ago and we all caught a lot of them. It looked like a Crappie lake what with all the brush and timber that was left. It will be interesting to hear the answer to your question.

I fish Hawkins often, mostly for bass though, but there are lots of old timers that tie off and anchor underneath the bridge and catch them...lots of boat docks around the middle of the lake. Don't be surprised if you catch a pickeral soaking a minnow in that lake!
