So what's up with the hundreds of pelicans I have seen flying around - I feel like I'm at the coast.. Friday night about 200 flew over my house and I'm about 10 miles from LL. I heard them long before I saw 'em. Saw about half that many flying around on Wednesday as well... I read a news report about the algae fish kill in the lakes south of here, a guide said it is the wind driven scent that attracted the birds - crazy I have not heard of any fish kill this far north - ? Wouldn't south winds keep the scent going the other way?
