How has the bite been recently on Lake Whitney for stripers and catfish? Thinking about going on Sunday and drifting or something to catch them....Thanks, Ron

Bassin fool, not sure if the Lake has turned over yet, I had been off the water for a while. It was stained and about 73 degrees. I did mark some fish on some edges and ledges near the channel but was just looking around after fishn that morning and didn't drop any baits down, saw in todays paper that catches to 12 lbs where caught on structure earlier but not sure how old that report is. A good barometer on Whitney is that if they are releasing water from the dam look in the channel or on the edge of the channel or structure, if not releasing look on the flats. Usually always fish on the flats, most of the time dinks. With the water temp that it is there should be a top water bite. If the Lake has turned then cut bait on structure is about the only producing tactic. Good luck, hope I helped. Randy Routh Team Redneck Guide Service http://teamredneck.s5.com
