Looking to camp on Lake Lavon in 2 weeks. I would like to set a couple jug lines and have little experience catfishing and even less experience on Lake Lavon. We will have a boat, so getting to anywhere on the lake won't be a problem. Not looking to steal your secret spot, just looking to catch a few cats. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hey CAL85, if setting jugs try in 15-20' of water. If using R&R go to Highland or 380 area and try in 1-3 foot of water using fresh shad. Good luck to ya!

Chase,

Thanks for the info. Any pointers on where to head with the jugs?

Try around the Tickey Creek area.

Once you've got your jugs set, find a spot with some stumps in about three or four feet of water and fish off the bottom with some danny kings punch bait(they sell it at walmart). You are sure to catch some keepers. Heck, you might even find that you dont need the jugs to catch your limit!
