You guys that did not make it to the Lake Tawakoni get together missed some fin eating. We ate like kings. Nothing better than striper and french fries and good fellowship. Got to meet Trent(and his wife), Jim, Eric(and his wife), and of course Chad. All super nice people. The fish did not cooperate for us. But the guys in the boat still made it fun. I am tired. Got about 6 hours of sleep since Friday morning. I will be sleeping good tonight.

Again Jim thanks for letting me fish out your boat, it is a noce rig.

And Chad and Trent thanks for letting me stay at the shack. Look forward to more Tawakoni fishing trips.

We were at Tawakoni on Sat, but we didn't stop by. The fish really didn't cooperate, but my Father in Law caught a nice 30" (12lbs) stripper. He was gasping for air and saying how glad he was cause he just changed his 8lb line to a 14lb one. Other than that it was a bust. Hope we have better luck with it next weekend.

Damn! and I was going to say, I was out there most of the day and didn't see any STRIPPERS on the water or in it for that matter But like you David I think he did get a nice Striper But then again I can see why he would have been gasping for air if he landed a Stripper

Hey Bug-A-Bass if he is catching strippers we need to follow him. I will give you a call tomorrow probably on the A/C compressor.

I was on Tawakoni monday (aug-4)to try out the dropping big shad into the trees technique. Ive always heard about it but never tried... I was not impressed. Got skunked! I was pretty happy to find the big shad though. I guess I got half the job done. I did get into some whites on the surface at the 276 bridge. Unfortunately they were all in the 4-6inch range! Oh well, should pick up when its cooler!
