 North and west arms of Lewisville?

Relatively new to Lewisville, we moved to Frisco in April, this is the first year I've fished the lake. I have always put in on the east side of the lake and fished from the dam, up to the old Lake Dallas cut, and on up to the Little Elm bridge. Mostly fishing for whites/hybrids and have had some really good days, but haven't gotten into the fish very well the last couple of times.
What is the north and west arms of the lake like? I'll be out there by daylight Saturday, bait fishing, wondered if it was worth burning some gas and running up that side of the lake to do some exploring?
I'll be in a 17' Glastron outboard, grey w/blue stripe.
A bad day fishing still beats a good day at work!

The bridge in little Elm is know for good crappie fishing and the old lake to the north west is know for big cat fish. The whites and hybrids I have found to be better in the main part of the lake.
