Headed to Granger in the next couple of days to give it a try. Best place to find some bait?

I better buy a few but if there are shad about, I can usually find them.

2 places close to the lake on Hwy 95. Duchess' and Circleville store. I prefer the C-ville store due to the fact they don't count each and every minnow but they have some weird hours and are not open on Sundays. Order a dozen @ C-ville and you're gonna get 20 or more minners per dozen. Duchess' counts each one. Order a dozen and get a dozen. Seem to get alot of small ones mixed in with the mediums too.

Keep on fishing.

Yeh, DBMan is absolutely right, I bought some from Duchess the other day, "medium" size, but some are only 1/2 inches.

I like to take a minner and stick part of a crappie nibble in its mouth before I put'em on the hook.......seems to work better.

Been getting three dozen from the Duchess and there is no way there are actually three dozen in the bag. Maybe 2.5. It’s become a bit of a running joke the “Duchess Dozen”.
