Camping at the state park this weekend. Any advice (for any species)???? Just want to put the kids on some fish.

How old are your kids? If young, its a great perch lake. The backs of coves around cover should score. If older, redfish in the mouths of coves close to the dam might score big. Balloon rigging perch,tilapia, or shad is your best bet. If you aren't equipted for that buy some goldfish and/or big shiners. You can also chunk spoons and little georges if they school up. Stripaholic, My friend, Roy, never made it fishing a couple of weeks ago on Fairfield. He is about to get married and his fishing vacation turned into a marriage prep vacation.
